Following a $20 million renovation, European-born Le Meridien ushers in a new era with a mid-century modern transformation and fresh vibe.

With its reimagination of an iconic palace, Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts has re-entered Italy. Managed by Toti Group, the Visconti Rome property features 240 custom-designed guestrooms and suites, alongside transformed public spaces, premium dining, and other amenities.

Nestled between the Spanish Steps and Vatican, the establishment is situated in Prati and caters to both business and leisure travellers. Led by ara Design, the updated look showcases classic Italian flair, with geometrical references to Rome’s fabled treasures, including the famed Pantheon.

“After reintroducing our flagship hotel in Paris last year, we continue to elevate travel with the launch of Visconti Rome, delivering the best in Italian design and our bold Destination Unlocked positioning,” said George Fleck, VP, Global Brand Marketing & Management at Le Méridien.

The destination’s interior is a contemporary realisation of mid-century modernism. A material palette of marble, wood, and natural textures juxtapose vibrant textile blocks, while influenced by the works of local architect, Gio Ponti, who was instrumental to the original construction.
