Built on the brand’s heritage, the new Johnnie Walker push is a tribute to the cultural progress and diversity which represent today’s America.

Johnnie Walker has unveiled Keep Walking America, a 360-degree marketing push featuring a 60-second spot, for which Woodie Guthrie’s This Land Is Your Land is the anthem. Newly released in the United States, it was created by Anomaly and directed by Chris Sargent of Anonymous Content.

The lyrics communicate the message that America should always remain a nation built on values that reward people from all colours and creeds. Shot over two weeks, the film reflects storylines of progress from Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Montana, New Orleans, Baltimore, New York and Washington DC.

Inspired by the brand’s firm heritage, the campaign pays homage to the cultural progress and diversity which represent modern-day America. Using powerful storytelling, while capturing moments rooted in excellence and optimism, the creative aspires to serve as a reminder of where home is.

The effort is supported by a variety of initiatives on a national and global level, with each calling for a united society that can be a catalyst for positive change and achievements. It mirrors recent work from Colombia, which shared a message of unification during the ongoing peace treaty negotiations.

“We are honored to be taking a pioneering role in culture by celebrating progress. Keep Walking America embodies stories of cultural progress and diversity, and we hope it inspires people to come together for a better future,” Stephanie Jacoby, Vice President of Johnnie Walker North America.

Johnnie Walker was a global winner of the 2015-2016 World Branding Awards in the Alcoholic Spirits – Whisky category.
