Hainan Airlines has announced the launch of a non-stop weekly flight service between Shenzhen and Vancouver, which begins this month.

Hainan Airlines has revealed its plans to launch a nonstop service between Shenzhen and Vancouver on 28 January, with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays. The offering will be the first non-stop route from the carrier that will connect said Chinese destination and a city in Canada.

Designated for the service is a luxury Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring reverse herringbone seating for business class. The other seats afford an exclusive on-demand entertainment system. Passenger can expect a spacious layout, and choose between Western and Oriental cuisine selections.

In addition, travellers can use their portable electronic devices on board. Hainan Airlines now operates non-stop services between Shenzhen and cities including Auckland, Brisbane, Brussels, Cairns, Madrid, Paris, Vienna, and Zurich. The brand also runs nineteen North American routes, creating a rapid transit network.

Said cluster of destinations include Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Mexico City, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and San Jose in the United States; Tijuana in Mexico; and Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver in Canada. The services make for a highly convenient transfer to intermodal forms of transportation altogether.
