The Curio tie-up affords travellers the ‘inside scoop’ into their experiences with select cities as part of the #CitiesbyCurio programme.

Curio – A Collection by Hilton and multi-platinum recording artiste, Gavin DeGraw, have entered into a strategic partnership designed to offer travellers the inside scoop into their experiences with select cities like a local as part of the brand’s upcoming #CitiesbyCurio programme.

The initiative debuts on 28 August 2016, during the singer-songwriter’s North American tour set for the fall with Andy Grammer. The music icon helped create the #CitiesbyCurio Local Guides, which will be available via a dedicated website, and provides useful insider tips.

The platform features insights into local experiences across five cities on the tour where Curio is currently open or expanding into. The location line-up includes Grand Rapids, Michigan; St. Louis, Missouri; Providence, Rhode Island; Boston, Massachusetts; and Philadelphia.

The group launched said programme in 2015 by partnering with local influencers to create online guides featuring suggested itineraries, photos, and other content highlighting the authentic aspects of the hospitality brand’s hotels and the markets they serve.

The guides showcase unique properties and suggestions for places to explore. Meanwhile, fans are encouraged to follow the Curio collection and the star on social media throughout his tour for access to concert ticket giveaways via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

A takeover by DeGraw of the luxury chain’s Twitter page will also feature. Participants can submit the questions they’ve always wanted to ask. Regular glimpses into his daily life on the road will present through the marque’s various social media engagement channels.

“Gavin’s passion for exploring local culture makes him an ideal partner to share our cities’ hidden gems with loyal fans and Curio the collection’s guests,” said Dianna Vaughan, Senior Vice President and Global Head, Curio – A Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton.

Hilton was a winner at the 2014-2015 World Branding Awards under the Hotels (Global) category.
