KFC has captured the indulgent moments involved when eating a take away from the comfort of your own home in their latest delivery campaign. The fast-food giant explores that there are some aspects of eating at home that dining out just can’t replace.
KFC celebrates the everyday indulgences of ordering takeout: the messy, slightly embarrassing, yet glorious moments of eating a comforting meal in the privacy of your own home.
The fast-food brand is promoting its delivery service ahead of its sponsorship of British broadcaster ITV’s coverage of the 2022 Fifa World Cup, which will run from late November until December 18.
Four spots, created by ad agency Mother London, capture satisfying scenes behind closed doors after customers receive their KFC deliveries. In one, a group of men eat fried chicken from a jacuzzi, while in another, two friends are seen with their feet up on the table and their eyes transfixed on the TV, KFC items in hand.
KFC delivery customers can also eat their meals while not wearing pants or from the comfort of their beds, as the ads show.
The voiceover explains that these are all things you cannot get away with in an actual restaurant, “and that’s why there’s KFC delivery.”
“Winter is coming, and as the nights get longer, it’s hard to think of anything better than enjoying KFC in the comfort of your own home. And that’s what this campaign is all about: doing what you want to do,” Jack Hinchliffe, chief marketing officer of KFC UK and Ireland, said in a statement.
