McDonald’s distributed 15,500 meals on July 25 to food delivery riders at more than 140 of its restaurants across Singapore to commemorate their hard work as part of a wider campaign to raise awareness of delivery workers.

The initiative, which celebrated McDonald’s first-ever Delivery Riders’ Day, had food delivery riders from any delivery platform visit any Singapore McDonald’s in their delivery uniform between 2pm-5pm to receive the free meal, which consisted of a 2pc Chicken McCrispy, Salt+Pepper, Banana Pie and Dasani Water.

McDonald’s Singapore managing director Benjamin Boh said: “As an early pioneer in the delivery business, we have become a brand with a key delivery presence in Singapore. We pride ourselves on delivering feel-good moments to our customers and are incredibly grateful to all food delivery riders in Singapore who support us in this delivery experience. We know that these past two years of the pandemic have been challenging for food delivery riders – and this is our way of saying thank you. We really appreciate the partnership of all riders.”
