UFC has added PokerStars to its roster of global sponsors. The brand hops on board as official poker partner of the martial arts organisation.

UFC and PokerStars, the flagship poker brand under The Stars Group, have both inked a strategic marketing agreement. Per the deal, the latter comes on board as the first official poker partner of the mixed martial arts organisation, creating a new sponsorship category.

PokerStars will have a branded presence inside the Octagon during the final pay-per-view event of 2018, Jones vs. Gustafsson 2, taking place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 29 December. Added activation integration spans telecasts, digital, social media, and more.

Via the worldwide programming distribution of UFC, PokerStars has the potential to reach 1.1 billion television households across over 160 countries and territories in 40 languages. The tie-up marks a landmark deal for the brand, also the biggest poker site in the world.

“We’re excited PokerStars has joined our roster of global partners for our final 2018 event. This agreement lays the foundation to work together in the future to grow our respective customer bases in key markets,” said Paul Asencio, SVP, Global Partnerships for UFC.
