The Starwood makeover repositions the property as an elevated retreat parked on the famed Miracle Mile in the heart of Coral Gables.

Hotel Colonnade, the latest addition to the Tribute portfolio under Starwood, has newly completed an $18 million renovation. Formerly The Westin, the makeover repositions the 157-room property as an elevated retreat parked on the famed Miracle Mile in the heart of Coral Gables.

Erected in the 1920’s by the county’s founder, George Merrick, the establishment features re-imagined spaces by Dawson Design Associates. From decadent event venues to contemporary guest chambers, each room captures a distinct Latin vibe that is inspired by the local destination.

The hotel’s existing vaulted ceilings and grand lobby staircase are now centred under a rosary-style stained glass window and Murano chandeliers. Meanwhile, its Aragon Café boasts offerings which use locally sourced quality ingredients, while steeped in Miami’s international culture.

A lobby bar exists to afford patrons an eclectic mix of signature cocktails and polished classics, while a swanky game room comes complete with a pool table, shuffleboard, and big-screen televisions. A second bar sets the tone for intimate weddings and gatherings with family and friends.

Additionally, elegant sleeping rooms featuring wood floors and contemporary stainless steel pedestal beds are complemented by sleek sectional sofas and intricate bronze and smoked glass desks. Chic and layered, each guestroom at Hotel Colonnade approaches luxury with a purpose.

“Modern yet elegant, our promise at Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables is to inject a sense of glamour and adventure into the hotel while honouring the rich history of Coral Gables,” said Patricia Davis, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management of Pivot Hotels and Resorts.
