The British star is set to feature in a series of upcoming advertising campaigns for the globally-positioned Rimmel London.

Rimmel London has introduced a new addition to its portfolio of brand ambassadors to include British model and actress, Cara Delevingne. The 23-year-old London native has been engaged to star in a series of upcoming advertising campaigns for the globally-positioned cosmetic giant.

Famed for her trend-setting look and style, the artiste appears a natural choice and fit. In addition to a strong runway presence, she is a formidable television personality with a career to match. With more than 36 million social media followers, she is believed to be the ideal icon to inspire young women.

“Cara’s striking look and unique sense of style mean she’s the personification of Rimmel cool. She has a huge online presence, through which Rimmel can reach out to our core consumers. She is an iconic British ambassador for the brand,” said Montse Passolas, Vice President of Global Marketing at Rimmel London.

Solidifying the strategic partnership, Rimmel is slated to break the news about Delevingne’s appointment during its inaugural Global Snapchat Press Conference. The event commences on 15 April 2016, and will see the celebrity select her favourite questions from the public and answer them live on Snapchat.

The platform will allow loyal fans and followers of the marque a unique opportunity to interact with the new face of the brand. In true GEN Z fashion, consumers will become ‘journalists’ for a day and are invited to pose their burning questions to the Rimmel ambassador via the hashtag #RimmelxCara.

“I’m honoured to be working with Rimmel. It’s the first makeup brand I was introduced to as a teenager. I’m a London girl through and through and Rimmel truly captures and represents the city’s edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles,” said Delevingne.
