The promotional push by MoneyGram is set to run in the Indian states of Telangana, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Kerala.

Global money transfer service provider, MoneyGram, has rolled out Receive & Win, a month-long a promotional campaign set to run throughout the Ramadan period, beginning 6 June 2016. The exercise affords customers the opportunity to win an all-expense paid Umrah trip for two.

As visiting the iconic city is an important aim for many, the company is using the newly-launched platform to further enhance the marque’s reach and presence in India as well as see one lucky participant of the programme and his or her travel companion realise the aforementioned pilgrimage dream.

Customers receiving money from overseas through MoneyGram during the holy month are eligible to enroll in the contest. The much-coveted win entails a trip to the saintly destination of Mecca; one that holds a special significance which goes beyond mere wanderlust and leisurely pleasure.

Apart from the grand give-away, 35 other contestants stand to walk away with consolation prizes made up of television sets and smartphones. Meanwhile, the brand is offering free international calls to all, allowing users of the service connect with their loved ones upon breaking fast.

The additional component is set to introduce dedicated booths which are to present outside more than 100 mosques countrywide. The company has also promised to provide ‘shoe service’ throughout fasting season. The effort is set to run in the states of Telangana, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Kerala.

“MoneyGram has always mastered its efforts to connect consumers not only through our reliable and convenient money transfer services but also bringing people closer through joyful celebrations. This is a strategy we want to follow in the future,” said Kaushik Roy, Senior Regional Director GCC and South Asia at MoneyGram.
