Variants like the Martell Medallion VSOP and XO are available in stores, with higher marques heading to Ontario and Alberta in the fall.

Global cognac heavyweight, Martell, has re-entered Canada. A move made possible by Corby Spirit and Wine, the brand returns to the North American market to celebrate its 300-year heritage and honour a legacy which has been passed down for generations through the Martell family.

The comeback aims to capture the spirit’s essence of place, precision, and time—the three iconic markers representative of the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, and embodied by its great axes. The beverage is being remembered for its unique processes of distillation, ageing, and blending.

Key variants including the Medallion VSOP and XO are now available in stores. Limited quantities of even higher marques will be sold in Ontario and Alberta during the fall, with product selection expected to vary by province. Martell is a prestigious brand owned by global wine group, Pernod Ricard.

A commemoration of the French ‘art de vivre’ or the art of living, the name adopts a lifestyle of treasuring the beauty and pleasure in every moment. So much so, its cellar masters must offer a perfect nose, an unparalleled palette, and a near magical gift of alchemy to do the portfolio justice.

“We are delighted to bring the cognac back to Canada. The Martell House was founded in 1715 at the height of French Art de Vivre, a period of time in which both gastronomy and craftsmanship were celebrated,” said Erika Neudorf, Brand Manager at Corby Spirit and Wine.
