The message of the Davidoff short is a call to action to safeguard one of the world’s most precious yet endangered natural resources.

Davidoff Cool Water, a fragrance inspired by the ocean, has released a summer film featuring brand ambassador, Scott Eastwood. The underlying message of the short presents as a call to action to safeguard one of the world’s most precious yet endangered natural resources.

The aforementioned spot is an extension of the marque’s long-standing Love the Ocean campaign in support of National Geographic Society’s ‘Pristine Seas’ project—which aims to protect 10 percent of the world’s ocean by 2020. The new film will be released on 1 July 2016.

To be screened across a wide range of digital platforms, it steps up the above initiative, and endeavours to spread awareness and convince the public that each person can make a difference. Shot near the actor’s home in San Diego, the video highlights Eastwood’s commitment to fighting water pollution issues.

The push also entails a beach clean-up organised in partnership with the National Geographic Society and the Surfrider Foundation. According to the brand, such an effort, along with simple lifestyle changes, is one way to take the much needed ocean conservation wave further.

Davidoff Cool Water has supported 14 ‘Pristine Seas’ expeditions since 2012, which informed the establishment of five marine protected areas, totalling 1,713,518 square kilometres or 2.18 percent of the world’s ocean. Throughout summer 2016, the fragrance giant will be promoting beach clean-ups in key countries.
