Focused on positivity and inclusion, Coca-Cola has themed its latest commercial around togetherness and celebrating difference.

In conjunction with the Super Bowl, Coca-Cola has created a new 60-second commercial. Titled A Coke is a Coke, the spot will air just before kick-off of the Big Game in Atlanta. Inspired by a 1975 quote by iconic pop artist, Andy Warhol, the ad brings to life the idea that a Coke is for everyone.

Designed to be playful and engaging, the spot features original animated characters like Beans the Chef, Freddy the Yeti, and Abigail the Bird Girl to remind viewers that celebrating difference is beautiful. The film is the latest chapter in the brand’s almost 133-year history of standing for togetherness.

Portland’s Wieden+Kennedy is the creative team behind the recent series of Big Game spots highlighting diversity and inclusion. The A Coke is a Coke short was created for Coca-Cola by said agency and animated by Psyop.

“We have a long history of using the country’s biggest advertising stage to share our unity. message. This year, we are placing our ad just before the national anthem as Americans come together in their living rooms to remind everyone that together is beautiful,” said Stuart Kronauge, President, Sparkling Business Unit and SVP of Marketing, Coca-Cola North America.

Coca-Cola was a global winner of the 2016-2017 World Branding Awards under the Beverages – Soft Drinks category.
