The new Casio MRG-G2000R-1A timepiece features a traditionally Japanese Bishamon-kiko pattern on a Dura Soft Fluoro-rubber Band.

Casio G-Shock has unveiled the latest addition to its upscale men’s line with the MRG-G2000R-1A. The newly unveiled timepiece is the first by the brand to feature a Dura Soft Fluoro-rubber Band. It also combines durable materials with soft textures for a comfy fit.

A part of the Casio flagship collection, the variant is designed to exude luxury and strength. It has a traditional Bishamon-kiko pattern engraved on the band. The customary Japanese finish, which combines hexagonal shapes into groups of three, dates back to ancient times.

Marrying Japanese aesthetics and modern technology, the watch come with diamond-like carbon coating for increase abrasion resistance. The use of titanium in its production is derived from a deep-layer hardening process, rendering the timepiece five times tougher.

Also entailed in its finishes are Casio multi-band solar technology, a scratch-resistant sapphire inner crystal coating, and Bluetooth connectivity via the G-Shock Connected app.
