Expensify has partnered with Adam Scott and 2 Chainz for its Super Bowl push, which features a lead-up music video and Big Game spot.

Expensify, an app for expense management, receipt scanning, and business travel, has rolled out its first Super Bowl commercial. Starring Def Jam recording artiste, 2 Chainz, and actor, Adam Scott, the campaign features a 60-second ad for YouTube and 30-second spot airing on 3 February at the Big Game.

The push was developed with creative collective JohnXHannes New York and directed by Andreas Nilsson of Biscuit Filmworks. In the advertisement, viewers will see a receipt for 2 Chainz’s ride. Downloading the app and snapping a photo of the receipt will offer fans a chance to win the cash value of the car.

The film is an extension of the brand’s newly launched You Weren’t Born to Do Expenses marketing initiative, which kicked off with Expensify This. The four-minute interactive music video featuring the same celebrity duo successfully garnered more than one million views within the first two days of its release.

“Over the past decade, our brand has spread like wildfire with zero advertising, growing solely through word of mouth. It has all led up to this—our first national television spot running during the most-anticipated event of the year—the Super Bowl,” said David Barrett, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Expensify.
