Celebrating homecomings at airports across the globe, Air Canada has surprised customers in Tokyo, Washington, Montreal, and other cities.

Extending its Christmas campaign from last year, Air Canada is once again making the homecomings of travellers memorable around the world. To celebrate the feeling of home, the carrier has kept busy with gifting roundtrip tickets to visitors at arrival gate boutiques.

Members of the community were asked to share a story of someone they want to bring home for the holidays across the brand’s social media channels. With the push, reunions were made sweeter, hugs tighter, and smiles wider with surprise arrival pop-up boutiques.

Air Canada pilots and flight attendants made an appearance at said airport pop-ups in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Washington, and Tokyo. Gifts such as teddy bears, balloons, and flowers were presented to passengers arriving on select flights. A few received free tickets for a shorter travel time.

The Air Canada ticket giveaways were meant to shorten journeys and allow for more time to be spent with friends and family. The homecomings can be viewed through a video shared across the airline’s Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter platforms.

With the excitement and anticipation reunions bring, coming home for the holidays is both an emotional and personal experience. No matter if home is here in Canada or abroad, it’s our honour to reunite customers with their loved ones,” said Andy Shibata, MD, Brand for Air Canada.
