British Airways is slated to launch year-round services to Milan from the London City and Stansted airports towards the end of April 2017.
British Airways will launch year-round services to Milan, Italy. The new routes to Linate Airport start from London City Airport on 24 April, with two daily flights slated for weekdays and one for weekends. The two flights a week from Stansted Airport begin on 29 April.
Earlier this month, the carrier debuted summer-only routes from London City to Skiathos, Greece and Manchester. With the addition of Milan, it will operate flights to 30 destinations from the Docklands airport over the summer. Basic fares to Milan can be booked online.
At Stansted, the airline will introduce three new destinations, including a second Italian city—Florence. All flights will operate using Embraer 190 jet aircraft, which feature spacious cabins and two abreast seating, allowing every customer to have an aisle or window seat.
Euro Traveller customers will benefit from allocated seats, a hand-baggage allowance, and loyalty points which can be used to redeem food and drinks on board flights or towards other trips. Meanwhile, Club Europe members will receive complimentary food and drinks, a baggage allowance, seat selection, and online check-in.
Italian airline, Meridiana, which is currently codeshare on the British Airways services between Linate and Heathrow, will in future also codeshare on the new services from London City and Stansted.
