The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has teamed up with former Green Bay Packers athlete, Donald Driver, for a new marketing effort.

The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has joined forces with former Green Bay Packers wide receiver, Donald Driver, over a newly released television commercial. Inviting visitors to explore the destination’s playful side, it promotes the state’s multi-billion-dollar industry.

Depicting the Dancing with the Stars champion knee-dep in cranberry bog, the spots draw on Driver’s trademark smile and focuses on the strengths of the city to include its food-inspired festivities and warm people. The larger push entails print, radio, and digital ads.

The push will run over the coming summer and next fall in select Midwest markets such as the Twin Cities, Chicago, St. Louis, and Milwaukee. The alliance with Driver is the first time the Wisconsin Department of Tourism shot a campaign with a celebrity during a live event.

“We are always raising the bar for our marketing efforts. We are excited to continue this success with our campaign featuring Donald Driver. People are going to fall in love with his energy and love of this state,” said Stephanie Klett, Secretary for Wisconsin Tourism.
