Emphasising the ‘duo’ feature of the candy bar, Coffee with a Twix spins a twist around the plot by filling the spot with identical twins.

Twix, which is part of the Mars Chocolate portfolio, has rolled out a fresh advertising push targeting its Nordic markets. Created by Denmark’s Patchwork Group, the campaign runs on the theme, Coffee with a Twix, and is a clear reflection of the brand’s quirky side.

Emphasising the ‘duo’ feature of the candy bar, the video spins a twist around the plot by filling the spot with identical pairs. Where the scene is set in a café, unsuspecting visitors are shown taking a seat, shortly after which they begin picking up on an unmissable flavour of ‘oddness’ in the air.

The atmosphere fails to click when suddenly they are surrounded by human twins everywhere. Seemingly random to the naked eye, the commercial obviously pays tribute to the fact that said snack comes in pairs. The video attempts to capture exactly that aspect in a manner that’s meant to tease.

A set of twin girls are captured taking separate selfies simultaneously, while two men bearing a perfect resemblance to each other are parked at a table flipping through their own copies of the morning papers. Meanwhile, behind the counter, a pair of big-haired female twins is seen manning their workstation as baristas.

Then, occupying window seats are two sisters whose phones ring and are answered at the same time. Also, two appearance-matching brothers come walking down a staircase. While all this happening, foul play is evident, but not quite. The Twix advertisement captures the varying reactions of patrons.
