Expanding its beverage portfolio, Coca-Cola has launched two new Sprite variants across the United States—Cherry and Cherry Zero.

Sprite has added two new variants to its portfolio—Cherry and Cherry Zero. Caffeine-free, the new releases are made from natural flavours and can be found at convenience and other retail stores nationwide. The first is set to hit stores across the United States in a 20-ounce PET bottle.

The second offers consumers a zero-sugar and -calorie option, joining a roster of nearly 250 other such drinks available nationwide through Coca-Cola. The permanent additions follow previous innovations like the brand’s Cranberry, Cranberry Zero, Tropical Mix, and LeBron’s Mix.

Self-serve Coca-Cola Freestyle also offers a cherry-flavoured combination which is already a fan favourite. The release of both Sprite Cherry and Sprite Cherry Zero marks the first time insights from Coca-Cola Freestyle were used to inspire the nationwide roll-out of a new product.

“The launch of our Cherry and Cherry Zero offerings is a great way to show our fans that we’re continuing to innovate to them more of the great taste they love, with a twist of something new,” said Bobby Oliver, Director, Sprite and Citrus Brands at Coca-Cola North America.

Coca-Cola was a global winner of the 2016-2017 World Branding Awards in the Beverages – Softdrinks category.
