Saltwater Brewery has launched an edible beer packaging solution, with a video released to capture the product’s ocean-friendly attributes.

Florida-based craft beer-maker, Saltwater Brewery, has rolled out an edible six-pack ring, a preventive measure carved for the primary purpose of marine life preservation. The packaging tool protects underwater inhabitants from dangerous entanglement and plastic debris ingestion.

Taking the ocean conservation initiative further, the brand has released a video created by advertising agency, We Believers, located in New York. The packaging solution was developed from spent grain produced during the brewing process. Meanwhile, the spot has received nearly 80,000 hits on YouTube.

The effort by Saltwater Brewery emphasises the product’s biodegradable qualities and draws attention to the fact that the six-pack ring is safe for consumption by fish and other sea life. The move is especially significant since the state is home to the third largest coral reef in the world—Florida Reef.

The brand’s values are rooted in a lifestyle revolving around the ocean. The goal of the said manufacturer of alcoholic beverages is to maintain nature’s backyard by giving back to the environment through numerous ocean-based charities including Surfrider and Ocean Foundation.
