Manchester City names Mundipharma its Official Healthcare Product Partner in Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

Manchester City has signed on Mundipharma as one of the brand’s most recent regional partners. The multi-year deal will see the pharmaceutical giant named Official Healthcare Product Partner across four of its key markets to include Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

The sponsorship agreement aims to reflect the commitment shared between both partners to deepen the connection they have with fans and the people in said emerging markets. Mundipharma expects to incorporate the Premier League club’s branding in several of its marketing and ad campaigns.

Meanwhile, the logo of its popular range of Betadine medicines is set to feature on the sleeve of the football team’s medical staff during friendly matches in the aforementioned regions. The healthcare company will also collaborate with the team to offer young fans a chance to travel to Manchester.

The above extension is to entail an unforgettable football experience at the club’s elite youth development and training facility—the City Football Academy. Enrollees will be afforded sessions delivered by its qualified coaches so that participants receive an authentic Manchester City experience.

The club has 400 million followers worldwide, and are currently enjoying a successful start to the season under the guidance of Pep Guardiola. Mundipharma’s emerging markets business has grown significantly in recent years, with its medicines being distributed in more than 120 countries worldwide.

“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Mundipharma. Continually striving for excellence, their commitment to connecting with their in-market consumers using innovative and meaningful ways makes them a fitting partner for the club,” said Omar Berrada, COO of Manchester City.
