With the addition of a 48-gallon fuel tank, the Ford Super Duty maximises time between fill-ups to get more done in a shorter span.

Ford has released its new 2017 F-Series Super Duty vehicle as an essential tool for work. With the addition of a massive 48-gallon fuel tank, the largest in its class, the variant aims to maximise time between fill-ups to allow the opportunity to get more done in a shorter span.

The truck features a longer wheelbase and wider track to ensure the new tank fits between the frame and driveshaft. Along with improved fuel economy enabled by light-weighting through the use of military-grade aluminium alloy, the Super Duty’s range increases significantly.

Adding to its range is a larger-capacity diesel exhaust fluid tank—up 2.5 gallons from the 2016 truck to 7.5 gallons for 2017. An enhanced fuel filter and water separator filter allow for longer change intervals to minimise the time and money spent on maintenance. The model launches in the fall.

“We want to give our customers a more productive tool for getting the most out of their trucks. This means less downtime at the fuel pump and performing routine maintenance, and more time on the job,” said Brian Rathsburg, Marketing Manager for Ford Super Duty.

Ford was a winner at the 2014-2015 World Branding Awards under the Automotive (National) category.
