For the upcoming eurobest Festival of Creativity, leading European brands will bring industry insights, trends, and ideas to the stage.

With two days to go until the eurobest Festival of Creativity launches in Rome, award entries are now closed and counted with 4,526 received.

The new Digital Craft Award drew 139 submissions, while Creative Data garnered 70 submissions. Meanwhile, the Entertainment award category, which has evolved from the Branded Content & Entertainment Award, has seen a 50 percent increase in entries this year.

In advance of the festival, the Innovation Jury has selected the Innovation shortlist. The 28 entries received have been reduced to 11; Germany received five shortlisted places, Sweden two, and Belgium two, with work from Switzerland and the Netherlands also in the running.

“We’re delighted to announce high entry numbers this year and to be able to recognise two exciting new Awards. We look forward to welcoming our juries to Rome, where we’ll celebrate the very best European work in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Inspired by the host city, our content programme this year is one of the most diverse in the Festival’s history,” said Louise Benson, Festival Director of eurobest.

Alongside the Awards, which will be honored at a ceremony on Friday, 2 December 2016 at the Teatro Ambra Jovinelli, the main festival venue, Palazzo Barberini will host a stellar line-up of brands bringing enlightening discussion to the stages.

Discussions include sessions with Heineken’s Senior Director of Global, Digital and Marketing Development, Ian Wilson, who will reveal what advertisers really want and share the brand’s take on how to embrace the mobile media world; Anna Bizon, the Director of International Brands for Desperados, who will challenge thinking about creative bravery; and David Bailey (pictured), BBC Creative Director, who will demonstrate how the corporation has adopted an innovative design and UX culture.

Fashion branding will also be brought to the fore. Liselotte Kirkelund, Global Content and Digital Marketing Manager from fashion giant, Bestseller, will divulge the secrets of successful influencer marketing, while Ben Kerr, Chief Strategy Officer of Somethin’ Else, will look at the changing face of fashion and beauty marketing.

This year, eurobest has partnered with MY PR and the Festival has announced key media partnerships with RAINEWS24, Wired Italia, and Newsweek Europe. The World Branding Forum is an official media partner of the festival.
