The fifth and latest Big Game film from Avocados from Mexico, Top Dog, features Kristin Chenoweth and a fictional Human Canine Show.

Avocados from Mexico will premiere a thirty-second spot across CBS during the second quarter of the Big Game. The brand’s fifth consecutive appearance, it returns to America’s grandest advertising stage to usher in the best time of the year for avocado consumption.

Titled Top Dog, the commercial enlists the help of a few canine friends. In a recent study conducted by the company, it was found that consumers are willing to pay approximately $2 more at restaurants to add avocados to their meals. The short celebrates its versatility.

The film features a fictional Human Canine Show, in which the tables are turned with dogs proudly watching their owners as they compete for Avocados from Mexico. Adding a twist, human contestants are seen performing various commands. Kristin Chenoweth stars in it.

For the campaign, the brand partnered with Chicago’s Energy BBDO to assist with creative strategy and production. Havas Media will handle media buying while Richards-Lerma leads digital creative and social media. Ketchum in New York City is to manage public relations.

“We are excited to return to the Big Game with good memories and big laughs for those watching. This year’s creative concept brings to life how much people love avocados in a unique and entertaining way,” said Alvaro Luque, President of Avocados from Mexico.
