AccorHotels partners with Great Big Story to introduce its premium travellers to the makers of fine architecture, art, music, and culture.

AccorHotels has partnered with Great Big Story for a four-part mini-series that takes viewers on a cinematic journey coloured by architecture, art, music, and culture. The project introduces fans to artistes, traditions, and designers across a trail which weaves through Singapore, Chengdu, and Shanghai.

The videos will roll out across the multiple digital and social media platforms of Great Big Story in collaboration with the hospitality group. The effort will feature immersive 360-degree video content produced by the global brand studio of CNN International Commercial, Create, that launches in 2019.

Created to captivate the senses with experiences that are making a comeback, including Shanghai jazz from the 1930s, AccorHotels aims to tap premium audiences and affluent travellers. With content to encourage the rediscovery of new destinations, the series has the goal to reach over 10 million followers.

The first story is Shanghai Jazz Gets an Electronica Twist. Influenced by the cosmopolitan 1930s Shanghai jazz scene, the Shanghai Restoration Project is a Brooklyn-based electronica band. Adopting a unique approach, the group uses everyday sounds from across the globe for its musical productions.

“We are always looking for new ways to engage with guests through storytelling. We are delighted to work with CNN and Great Big Story is the perfect platform for us to provide rich content to a broad audience,” said Graham Wilson, Chief Marketing and Distribution Officer, AccorHotels Asia Pacific.
